Welcome Here

Women: Spirits of East, the first new day of Spring,
The gentle golden morning light,
Come now and see the new things I (we) can be.
Come to this sacred place tonight.
Men: Spirits of Air, the birds who take to wing,
The mountain air so bright and clear,
New song of youth, the first new breath of life,
In trust and love be welcome here. All: Welcome here.
Women: Spirits of South, the lust of Summer filled,
The blazing desert burning bright,
Come now and lend the passion of your heat.
Come to this sacred place tonight.
Men: Spirits of Fire, the comfort of the hearth,
The flame that drives the warrior's spear,
Red rose and poppy, lush in summer field,
In trust and love be welcome here. All: Welcome here.
Women: Spirits of West, that bring the Autumn chill,
The shades of ev'ning leading night,
Come now and show the harvest that I (we) reap.
Come to this sacred place tonight.
Men: Spirits of Water, the gentle healing rain,
The womb of Mother lying near,
Life-laden seas, the placid mountain lake,
In trust and love be welcome here. All: Welcome here.
Women: Spirits of North, the silent Winter's sleep,
The darkened sky that twinkles bright,
Come show the strength that's hidden in my heart (our hearts).
Come to this sacred place tonight.
Men: Spirits of Earth, the forest wide and deep,
The canyon walls that rise so sheer,
Green silent Mother, nursing all my (our) dreams,
In trust and love be welcome here.
All: Welcome here (sung at 1/3 harmony).
