Bard

On the Road you'll find me,
No hearth, no fence, no heart may bind me,
For I leave these all behind me
'Till true love does find me.
As the bird is winging.
I must be on my way and singing.
When you hear it sweetly ringing,
Think of me in dreaming.
Weep not for me, love,
Though my path is lone,
For when my heart is with you
I will dream of home.
I leave on the 'morrow
To take a path that few will follow.
Give to me this day to borrow
Just to ease my sorrow.
Weep not for me, love,
Though my path is lone.
When I have found my desire --
I will come back home.
